    关于对象的典故

    在中国的某些地区,把恋爱关系的对方叫做“对象”。比如“搞对象”、“找对象”、“XX的对象”等。那么为什么要这么叫呢?其实这是有典故的。
    相传,这个说法最早可追溯到位于烟波浩渺的印度洋和太平洋之间的印度尼西亚的爪哇岛上的人类刚刚学会直立行走的时代。当地土著人认为,对象和指针是世界上最亲密的一对,如果一个动态对象没有指向它的指针,那它就是一个垃圾,随时可能被回收掉;如果一个指针没有指向对象,那么它将会没有任何用处,使用它甚至可能导致危险的事情发生。于是,在当地的作品集的一些情诗中经常能发现类似这样的比喻:“如果我是一枚指针,那么你就是我的对象,没有你,我的人生将会变得毫无意义和暗淡无光。”后来,随着语言的发展,把自己说成指针就渐渐被淡化了,而直接说自己心仪的对方为“对象”,这种比喻在当时如同今天我们说起老师就一定要比作蜡烛一样普遍。但是人们发现,如果一个指针指向了一个对象,那人们就可以通过这个指针完全访问这个对象;然而,一个人对另外一个人有好感很可能只是单方面的意淫,对方未必答应,甚至可能毫不知情。所以,后来“对象”这个词就专指已经确定恋爱关系的人,即今天的用法。
    但是,对象和指针不对称的一点是,一个指针只能指向一个对象,而一个对象却可以被很多指针所指向。
